About 30 citizens, including children, were martyred and more than 100 were injured, including serious cases, in an Israeli raid that targeted a field hospital in the Khadija School, which houses displaced people in Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip.

The government media office said in a statement that the Israeli occupation army committed a new massacre by bombing a field hospital inside the Khadija School in Deir al-Balah in the central governorate, where the occupation bombed the hospital with three missiles from fighter jets, which led to the death of 18 martyrs and dozens of injuries.

On the same day of the massacre, the Israeli occupation admitted to targeting the school, as the Israeli army admitted to bombing the school sheltering displaced people. The spokesman of the occupation army for Arab media, Avichai Adrai, said in a blog post on his account on the "X" platform: "An aircraft raided a few minutes ago under the intelligence guidance of the Military Intelligence Authority, the Shin Bet and the Southern Command on saboteurs who worked inside a Hamas command and control complex that was hidden inside the Khadija School in the center of the Gaza Strip."

Adrai also claimed that "prior to the strike, several steps were taken to minimize the possibility of civilian casualties, including the use of specialized ammunition for the type of strike, aerial imagery and other intelligence information."
