More than 100 citizens were martyred, and 150 were injured, at dawn on Saturday, in a new massacre committed by the Israeli occupation against the displaced citizens in the "Al-Talebin" school, which shelters displaced people, in the Al-Sahaba area in the Al-Daraj neighborhood, east of Gaza City, with three direct missiles, while citizens were performing dawn prayers in the prayer hall.
Local sources and media outlets added that the majority of the martyrs were children and women. Rescue and civil defense teams encountered difficulties while recovering the bodies of the martyrs.
Rescue teams transferred most of the injuries to Al-Ahli Arab Hospital in very serious condition, and there are large quantities of body parts and torn bodies inside the hospital that have not been identified, due to the charred and torn bodies of most of the martyrs
With the targeting of the "Al-Talebin" school, the number of schools that shelter displaced people and were bombed by the occupation in Gaza City only within one week rises to 6.
Last Thursday, 15 citizens were martyred and dozens were injured, including children, after the occupation warplanes targeted the "Al-Zahraa" and "Abdel Fattah Hamoud" schools, which shelter displaced people in Al-Tuffah neighborhood, east of Gaza City.
On August 4, 30 civilians were martyred and dozens were injured, most of them children, in a bombing that targeted Al-Nasr and Hassan Salama schools in Al-Nasr neighborhood, west of Gaza City.
The day before, on August 3, 16 civilians were killed and others were injured in a bombing that targeted Hamama School, which houses displaced people in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood, north of Gaza City.
