Gaza Community College was established in 2004 as the first college specialized in tourism sciences in Palestine. It was officially recognized by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education in 2004, under the name "Gaza Community College for Tourism Studies". In 2011, due to the development of the college and the diversity of its academic programs, its name was changed, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, to Gaza Community College for Tourism and Applied Studies. The college grants its graduates an intermediate diploma in many disciplines, within a distinguished study program, according to the credit hour system.

Gaza Community College was established in 2004 as the first college specialized in tourism sciences in Palestine. It was officially recognized by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education in 2004, under the name "Gaza Community College for Tourism Studies". In 2011, due to the development of the college and the diversity of its academic programs, its name was changed, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, to "Gaza Community College for Tourism and Applied Studies". The college grants its graduates an intermediate diploma in several disciplines, within a distinguished study program, according to the credit hour system. In order to keep abreast of the latest scientific developments and open new horizons for its students, the college has established strong relationships with relevant local and international institutions, signing several cooperation agreements with local higher education institutions, such as the Islamic University, as well as with Arab and international institutions, such as the International Air Transport Association (IATA), Helwan University, Prince Sultan College of Tourism, Queen Rania Institute for Tourism and Heritage and the National Civil Aviation Training Institute (NCATI).
