Adnan Ahmad Atiya Al-Borsh (September 17, 1974 - April 19, 2024): Palestinian orthopedic surgeon, consultant, head of the orthopedic department at Al-Shifa Medical Complex, and head of the medical department of the Palestinian Football Association.

Born in Jabalia, in the northern Gaza Strip, he received his high school diploma from Halima al-Saadia School in Gaza, and then earned his bachelor's degree in medicine from Jansch University in Romania. After returning from Romania, he completed his education specializing in orthopedic and joint surgery, and received the Jordanian Board of Medicine from the Jordanian Medical Council. He is a member of the Board Committee of the Palestinian Medical Council, and has a British Fellowship in Complex Fracture Surgery from King's College London, in addition to a Master's degree in Political Science from Al-Azhar University in Gaza

Al-Borsh has made a name for himself in the Arab world, heading the orthopedic department at Al-Shifa Hospital since 2010 and remaining one of its medical pillars

He insisted on continuing to work during the genocidal war and worked at the Indonesian Hospital, in the northern Gaza Strip, in November 2023. A video was published documenting the moment he was injured while performing a surgery. He was seen drowning in his own blood after being injured by an Israeli bombing that targeted the hospital, and was treated in the dark due to the lack of electricity, then Israeli forces entered, forcing them to evacuate the hospital by force

After that, he moved to Kamal Adwan Hospital to work, and then worked at Al-Awda Hospital in Beit Lahia, until Israeli forces stormed this hospital as well. In December 2023, Dr. Adnan al-Barsh was arrested and remained in prison. According to accounts from prisoners' associations, he was subjected to very harsh torture, after which he was killed, and to date, his body has not been released
