Hazem al-Jamali is a refugee whose family was displaced from the city of Beersheba, and was arrested several times by the occupation, then traveled to Egypt to complete his education and obtained a diploma in law, in addition to a diploma in police sciences. He worked in the Palestinian Police Force, and underwent many qualified and specialized security courses in several friendly countries. He served in several specialized police departments, most recently in the General Investigations Department. While in the police force, he attended Al-Azhar University in Gaza, from which he earned a bachelor's degree in law.
